Meet the Team



LISA CAMPBELL ALBERT (Director) serves as both Director of TeamSTAGES and Music Supervisor for STAGES ST. LOUIS where representative credits include Smoke Joe’s Cafe, Anything Goes, The Full Monty, Fiddler on the Roof (Broadway World STL Award Best Musical Direction), Always…Patsy Cline, The Secret Garden (Kevin Kline Award Best Musical Direction), Promises, Promises (Kevin Kline nominee Best Musical Direction), The Drowsy Chaperone (Kevin Kline Award for Outstanding Musical), Guys and Dolls (Kevin Kline Award for Outstanding Musical), Man of La Mancha (Kevin Kline Award nominee Best Musical Direction), Lisa is also very proud to be on the teaching staff for the STAGES Performing Arts Academy. Originally from Belleville, IL, she received her Bachelor of Music from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and her Master of Music from Webster University. Lisa has worked as Guest Music Director at The Rep (Avenue X), Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, guest vocal coach to the national tours of Fosse and The Producers, rehearsal pianist for The Muny, vocal instructor for Opera Theatre of St. Louis' A.I.T. Spring Training program, and was a faculty member in the theater and music department at Washington University from where she received the Arts and Humanities Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004. Lisa was also an original member of the a cappella ensemble "Pieces of 8" and lead singer/keyboardist with the St. Louis-based blues band, Uncle Albert


Madison Applegate (Parkway South)
Madison is a Senior at Parkway south High school.  She is a part of her school improv team, "Five Finger Discount" and loves to take part in school productions. She's always loved being a part of Stages Performing Arts Academy as a student, and is thrilled to now be a part of TeamSTAGES. She will be attending The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising San Diego in the fall! 




Kristian Avise-Rouse
Kristian is a senior at Columbia High School in Columbia, Illinois. He is enjoying his third year as a member of TeamSTAGES! Music and theatre has encouraged significant growth in Kristian as a performer, a worker, and a person. He would like to thank STAGES Academy and Lisa Campbell Albert for everything he has learned, and the phenomenal experiences they've given to him.




Olivia Bosaw
Olivia has really enjoyed her first two years as a part of TeamStages, and is looking forward to year #3. Olivia was recently seen as Elle Woods in the STAGES Performing Arts Academy’s Summer Teen Performance Workshop of Legally Blonde.  In addition to being a part of TeamStages, Olivia enjoys performing in school and community theater, of which she has been seen in Anything Goes (Bonnie), Seussical (Mayzie), and Sleepy Hollow (Rosalie).  Olivia sings as part of the school choir and her church praise band.  When she is not singing, she takes Jazz, Tap, Ballet and enjoys cooking.



Spencer Burbach
Spencer is proud to be a member of Team Stages! Some of the shows he has been in include: Aladdn Jr. (Aladdin), Suessical Jr. (The Cat), Music Man (Winthrop), Pippin (Theo), Honk Jr. (Bullfrog), Into the Woods Jr. (Jack), Amal and the Night Visitors (Amal), Les Mis review (Gavroche). He is also in his schools chamber choir, as well as their all male a cappella group, acafellaz. He is also the co-presedent of his schools FCA huddle. Spencer loves to sing and act and play volleyball.





Molly Burgess (MICDS)
Molly is 17 years old and a senior at MICDS.  Molly is enjoying her fourth year as a member of TeamSTAGES after joining the group as a freshman. In her free time she participates in school productions where she has portrayed roles such as Paulette in Legally Blonde, Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes, and Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Molly takes voice lesson with Lisa Campbell-Albert and acting lessons with Kari Ely. She plans to pursue acting in college and as a career choice. Molly absolutely adores TeamSTAGES and couldn't choose a better group of people to spend her senior year with! 



Viktor Freesmeier
 Viktor is 18 years old and a Senior at Grand Center Arts Academy where he majors in vocal music. Viktor has been performing around the St. Louis Metro area since he was nine years old. He has a passion for all genres music. He was honored last year to be selected as a Regional Finalist for the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative and chosen by Missouri Music Educators Association to perform with State Choir at Tan-Tar-A Resort MMEA Conference. He is sad to see the final year of Team Stages but looks forward to more awesome experiences as he studies vocal performance in college and pursues his dream of becoming a professional performer. He thanks Lisa Campbell Albert and Stages St. Louis for this awesome opportunity!  



Madison Marie Lay 
Maddie (15) is a Sophomore at Visitation Academy who has an immense passion for music and theater! She studies voice, theater (Arts for Life Best Youth Actress 2013), dance, piano and guitar and just completed a theater program inNew York.  Maddie is honored to be a member of TeamSTAGES, THE region’s premier, teen, pre-professional, a cappella singing ensemble!




Grace Robertson (Mehlville)
Grace is thrilled to be a part of TeamSTAGES! Her credits include some favorites as Annie (Annie) twice with both performances earning Arts for Life nominations and taking the stage with Hawthorne Players, Children’s Variety Theater, Shooting Star, Kirkwood and CMP Productions. As a sophomore, she sings in her high school choir and competes in singing contests where she placed topin Applause and StarPower Talent contests and 1st in the national Hal Leonard competition. She studies jazz funk, hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary with Professional Dance Center and dances for her high school’s competitive Pantherette Dance Team.  Grace thanks Lisa Campbell-Albert for this amazing opportunity and for her contagious passion she shares as her vocal coach!  Thank you to God for this good fortune and to the STAGES team for all they do!  


Ava Schmidt (Marquette)
Ava is thrilled to be a member of Team Stages! She is currently a junior in high school where she is an active member of Marquette Theatre Company and International Thespian Society. Her most recent show credits include: "Max" in Mirette at COCA, "Lucinda" in Into the Woods with Shooting Star Productions, and "Ruth" in her school's musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. She also performed this summer in Hairspray at the St. Louis Muny. Ava is a member of the Pre-professional/Honors program at COCA, studying Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Character, and Modern dance. She studies voice with Lisa Fahey, and was thrilled to represent her at the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition, winning first place in her age division for four consecutive years. Additionally, she has received training at CCM through both the Ballet and Musical Theatre intensives. 


Joseph Schultz
Joseph Schultz is thrilled to perform with TeamSTAGES again this year!  He loves acapella singing, also performing in the acapella group at St. Louis University High School, where he is a senior.  Joseph has performed in many musical theatre productions, performing with Shooting Star Productions, Crestwood-Kirkwood Youth Theatre, SLUH, Visitation Academy, Cor Jesu Academy, CBC High School, and Rosati-Kain High School.  His favorite roles include “Sir Evelyn” in Anything Goes, “Marcellus” in The Music Man, “Billy” in Big: The Musical, “Oliver Twist” in Oliver!, “Winthrop” in The Music Man, and tap dancing in Mary Poppins.  He has taken voice lessons with Katie Kopff and Lisa Campbell-Albert.  He is in the Varsity Chorus and Advanced Dance at SLUH, and has taken dance classes at Krupinski Academy.  Joseph enjoys playing piano, trumpet, hand bells, and ocarina.  He wants to thank Lisa and everyone at STAGES for their hard work and support, and especially all his fellow members of TeamSTAGES for being an amazing group of friends and co-workers in harmony.

Klarissa Sheffield (Westminster Christian Academy)
Klarissa is thrilled to participate in her last year as a member of Team Stages. Some of her favorite credits include The Witch in Into The Woods at Westminster Christian Academy and Bird Girl in Seussical at Westminster Christian Academy. She has been in 7 productions at the Muny, and her most recent shows at the Muny include Spamalot, Hairspray, and Beauty and the Beast. Much love and thanks to God, Ms. Lisa, Mom, Dad, my siblings, and everyone else who has made the past few amazing years in TeamStages possible!
