JumpStart Theatre Teaching Artist Mentor
The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), in collaboration with New York City based companies iTheatrics and Music Theatre International (MTI), has created JumpStart Theatre, a three-year program designed to bring musical theatre into schools that currently do not have performing arts programs. STAGES St. Louis has been selected as one of only two theatre companies nationally to launch the JumpStart Theatre program. This program will equip non-theatre middle school teachers with the skills and resources to produce their school’s first musical through a proven combination of hands-on mentoring and boot-camp style training. The Teaching Artist Mentor will coach and train teachers from three St. Louis area schools in all aspects of their preparation to produce a musical production with their students.

Director of Marketing

STAGES St. Louis is the region's foremost not-for-profit company committed to preserving and advancing the art form of Musical Theatre through excellence in performance and education. In 2018, STAGES celebrates its 32nd year of producing Broadway-quality theatre. We are looking for an exceptional marketing professional to lead the marketing team. 

Position Summary 
This position has direct responsibility for strategic planning, brand management, development of marketing communication materials, media strategies and implementation of marketing tactics. Will also lead the effort for audience development including subscriptions, single ticket and group sales.  Provide marketing consultation to the development staff and the performing arts academy.  The director will manage one full time team member and one part time intern

Skills and Abilities 

  • Must possess an analytical approach to strategy development and a creative interpretation to plan implementation.
  • Skilled in design and development of marketing materials and public relations programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, persuasive speaker, polished writing capabilities for a variety of formats.
  • Collaborative spirit; proven team leader.
  • Solid background in identifying partners and negotiating media buys.
  • Experienced in audience development/sales building.
  • Strong sense of fiscal responsibility and budget management. 

Qualifications 

  • Five + years of marketing communications experience.
  • Experience leading and managing team members.
  • Background working with all forms of media.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Experience in ticketing software and a background in the arts strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Willingness to work weekends and evenings as necessary. 

Reporting:  This position reports to the Associate Producer.

  Part Time/Seasonal Box Office Associate 
This position is SEASONAL and is available from April through October 2018.
Our box office is open 7 days a week both daytime and evening hours.  Candidates MUST be available to work ANY day or evening shift during the week and/or weekend.  

Requirements:
- Must be able to work at either our Chesterfield or Kirkwood locations
- Must be a quick thinker who works well in a fast-paced, customer service oriented environment
- Previous customer service experience is required

Teaching Artist Position
STAGES Performing Arts Academy is seeking Teaching Artists for both the Academy and its Outreach programs in the following disciplines: 
Acting
Musical Theatre
Dance
Private Voice
Special Education

Applicants must have previous teaching and professional performance experience. Applicants should also possess classroom management skills, creativity, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills. All teachers must be able to work independently with students of all ages, as well as collaborate within a team of other teaching artists. This is a contracted position and hours will vary. Please indicate your availability in your cover letter. 

All Teaching Artists will be required to submit to a background check before beginning classes. You must have a reliable form of transportation as outreach teaching artists must travel to various schools and/or community centers in which classes are being offered.

Production Staff
STAGES ST. LOUIS, a professional musical theatre company entering our 32nd season, is accepting resumes for our 2018 seasonal Production Staff.  Available positions include: carpenters, painters, stitchers, costume crafts, drapers, electricians, props master, props artisans/carpenters, audio, stage management and run crews. Build contracts run through late March-early September, run contracts are mid May- through early October. There is some flexibility on contract dates. Housing is available.
